Among the leading, central and time-honoured countries in the wine industry is Italy. This is due to the state's highly extensive and high-valued segment. For example, it has recently extended to include up to 2 600 enterprises that employ 30 000 specialists. They, in turn, produce per-year turnover rates of up to 21 500 000 000 EUR. It includes up to 8 000 000 000 EUR produced via exports, which in turn contributes to 21% of the country’s food and beverage exportations. Likewise, the spirits segments produce up to 1 700 000 000 EUR of export value. OF Italy’s regions, Piedmont is the most extensive contributor due to its 68.9% contributions. Italy features such a wine industry due to diverse causes. Among them is the high concentration of individuals who drink wine in the state. For example, it has recently extended to feature up to 29 000 000 such people. It equates to 58% of the population over 18. Of these percentages, 17% are in Lombardy, 10% in Lazio and 9% in Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, and Campania. The Italian wine industry is also among the central and leading innovations of the related sectors. This is due to its high focus on researching and developing innovations to adapt to the latest market trends and challenges. Generally, these novel solutions are presented during biannual, annual, and triennial trade events in diverse Italian cities. They attract hundreds of thousands of visitors to the country each year.
