It has also generated turnovers through horticultural and potted plant products. In recent years, it has totalled more than 1 500 000 000 EUR. This includes a significant amount of the wares being exported. For example, Italy has exported horticultural wares of up to 1 143 000 000 EUR in recent years. The industry is concentrated in several regions of the country. For example, the Veneto and Emilia-Romagna areas feature the highest number of gardening retailers. They also contain horticultural sector-related producers. Additionally, Liguria, Tuscany, and Lombardy also feature many ornamental plant producers. Often, the sectors display their latest wares during trade expos. Such events take place in diverse cities once every one to two years. Such events attract hundreds of thousands of attendees.
