First of all, thank you for your service in short notice, obviously was my mistake for starting to search accommodation to late, but nevertheless you was on desired level of professionalism.
Regarding hotel, hotel as it is, was correct, but location in industrial zone, and lot of trucks which passing by windows was unpleasant experience, so I would not recommend this hotel for this price to no one, but I am aware of moment which we choose to make reservation in Cologne .
Regarding next IDS, it is a good idea, if we don’t have to pay nothing in advance, then yes, you can make some reservations for similar rates, but with location near city center or Koelnmesse.

Perfect location and nice spacious rooms
Only criticism was about contact with a receptionist who could be more service minded and polite. My husband and I had same experience when we checked in.
And breakfast was a bit chaotic due to too many people at the same time and lack of space/tables.
But overall a very nice experience.

This was a very nice hotel and would consider staying again in the future. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were adequate and clean. The hotel is located near the subway station as well as the larger metro station at the Duomo. It was easy to get to the station and get around the city when necessary.
