ABOUT THE VENUE
Messe Cologne (Cologne Trade Fair/Koelnmesse) is the fifth-largest exhibition centre in the world. It has an area of over 284,000 m2. It is a venue that has served as a hosting location since 1924. In 2005, it was moved to its current location within the city. This enabled it to improve its convenience by being as close as possible to the airport and central stations. The event is the hosting location of more than 2,00 conferences and 80 large-scale trade fairs. Due to the high number of leading trade fairs that take place at the site, the venue receives 42,000 exhibitors and 2 million visitors. They represent 120 exhibiting and 175 visiting countries from six continents.
