GENERA 2025 will be hosted as a live trade fair at the IFEMA - Feria de Madrid in Spain. The event will take place between the 18th and 20th of November 2025.

The focus of the international trade fair falls on the biofuel market, as showcased by over 250 exhibitors covering the entire value chain from biomass power plants to solar energy and energy storage. GENERA 2021
GENERA 2021 was a hybrid trade exhibition held between the 16th and 18th of November 2021. The hosting location of the live aspect of the event was IFEMA in Madrid. The hosting location featured the latest coronavirus safeguards to ensure the safety of the 20 014 visitants and 211 exhibiting companies. This included attendees needing to show documents such as proof of recovery before admission. The edition received over 30,000 participants.
GENERA 2022
GENERA 2022 was a live trade exhibition in the IFEMA. It was held between the 14th and 16th of June 2022. The hosting site featured strict coronavirus safeguards such as social distancing. The event received around 260 exhibitors and over 15,000 visitors.
GENERA 2023
The 2023 iteration of GENERA signified a new attendance record. The live trade exhibition, held between the 21st and 23rd of February 2023, received 35 107 visitants from 63 countries. They examined the wares of 402 exhibiting companies from 21 nations. The hosting location, IFEMA, did not feature coronavirus safeguards due to the removal of the country's pandemic restrictions.
GENERA 2024
GENERA 2024 occurred as a live trade exposition between the 6th and 8th of February 2024. The live iteration featured more than 500 exhibiting firms from over 60 nations and 35 000 visitants on 24 000 m2.
GENERA 2025
GENERA 2025 occurred as a live trade expo between the 18th and 20th of November 2025. It was held on 24 000 m2 and featured 500 exhibiting firms as well as 43 000 visitants.

The service received by Mrs Ellie Stone can only be praised. She is professional, fast handling and 100% engaged in providing prompt and satisfying answers to customer needs and requests. All this in a very pleasant way. As to the hotel I chose, the location was great, the breakfast very nice, the rooms are quiet small, but clean and cozy. Only the bar should be looked at, as there is not much choice, neither in food nor in beverage. All in all a good place to stay during a fair.

The trip to the fair all went very well. I have had very little feedback, which is a good sign because I only hear when things go wrong.
However, I did ask. The hotel was basic (not luxurious) but in a good location for transport to the fair and they were happy with it.

Dear Tom,
The fair went quite well.
They told me that their stay at the Aparthotel Lenau was very good and that they didn't have any major problems. The only drawback was being on the 4th or 5th floor without an elevator (especially for carrying suitcases), and during check-in, some of the terminals weren't working, so it took quite a while, but otherwise, it was in a great location, very easy to park, spacious and clean rooms... Very good.
We are not going to reserve anything for future editions yet, as we are not sure whether we will participate directly or through an agent/distributor.
As soon as we have any needs again, I will contact you, as our experience with you has been very good, with very quick responses and excellent service.
