Preface
The Farnborough International Airshow is a pivotal biannual aerospace and defence industry event. It showcases the civilian, service, manufacture, mechanical, MRO and rotary innovations. Farnborough International Airshow 2018
The 2018 iteration of FIA took place between the 16th and the 22nd of July 2018. It was held at Farnborough Airfield. It received around 73 000 visitors and approximately 1 500 exhibiting companies.
Farnborough International Airshow 2020
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2020 iteration was a digital trade show. The iteration received around 14 000 delegates from 97 nations, including 240 speakers. The lecturers included the CEOs of Rolls-Royce, Emirates, and Airbus. Additionally, 244 suppliers and 75 buyers took part in FIA 2020.
Farnborough International Airshow 2022
The 2022 iteration signified the event's successful restart. It was attended by 1254 exhibitors from 38 exhibitors.
Farnborough International Airshow 2024
The Farnborough International Airshow in July 2024 reaffirmed the event's position as a must-attend for the related industries. This is due to the notable success of the FIA 2024 iteration. It featured more than 100 000 visitants, representing a 33% increase in visitor attendance. Additionally, it presented the wares of 1 500 exhibiting firms from over 60 nations. In addition, FIA 2024 was attended by over 390 delegations, representing a 57% increase in delegate attendance.
The edition contributed 13 000 000 000 GBP to the host country's economy. This was due to the event generating 105 000 000 000 USD of commercial agreements, including deals from notable Farnborough International Airshow exhibitors such as Airbus. This was due to several aspects, including the presentation of 90 aircraft.
Additionally, the event featured an air display live stream that received more than 178 000 views. It was part of the FIA Pioneers of Tomorrow, a public sub-event that featured over 20 000 public visitants on 500 000 m2. As a result, of the notable success of the iteration, more than 100 participants firms have rescheduled their attendance for FIA 2026.
