MATELEC 2022
The 2022 iteration of MATELEC occurred between the 15th and 18th of November 2022 in IFEMA-Feria Madrid. The event site did not feature coronavirus safeguards because the country lifted its pandemic restrictions. The iteration received around 90 000 participants from 132 nations.
MATELEC 2024
The 2024 iteration of the event was a live trade expo hosted between the 5th and 8th of November 2024. It featured the wares of more than 500 exhibiting firms from 20 nations.

The 2025 iteration of MATELEC took place as a live trade expo between the 18th and 20th of November 2025. It featured over 800 exhibiting firms (39% from abroad) on 34 000 m2.

Of course, the difference in service quality, in comparison with the hotel in Germany, it is felt, the level is lower and the service staff - surly. But good news are that the exhibitors needed hotel only during the nights as the day-time was very busy (only weather could be better.....).

Dear Tom,
thank you for your email. The hotel was quite good but the service was not honestly professional, staff was not so friendly and the rooms were a bit poor. We had to change the personal code (to use elevators, enter in the room, parking etc..) 3 times as we had 3 reservations/each. Sometimes my colleague found the room not clean and in the same condition as in the morning.
However the location was good and my general feedback is positive. I thank you very much for your support, you are really professional and quick in replying.

The Novum Hotel Madison Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof was fine: good service, large rooms and bathrooms.
A bit old-fashioned and a 3 star hotel in my opinion rather than 4 stars.
Breakfast was fine.
