Light + Building 2028 will be held between the 5th and 10th of March 2028. Messe Frankfurt confirms the event will be hosted as a live trade exhibition.

Preface

Light + Building (Light and Building Frankfurt) is the illumination and intelligent building design sector's prime event. This is due to the event showcasing the latest industry inclinations, state of affairs, and novel solutions. Messe Frankfurt serves as the hosting location for Light and Building. The trade exhibition is held every two years. Light + Building is the meeting location of a multifarious attendant group comprising architects, engineers, investors, retail suppliers and planners. They also include wholesalers, operators, sales and distribution specialists, R&D, and design experts. Light + Building is likewise a must-attend for furniture stores, electricians, electrical trade experts, security technology planners, real estate and housing industry, facility managers, and DIY stores.

About the Light and Building Fair

Each Light + Building edition features at least two key themes. Each top thematic features diverse sub-themes, such as energy or intelligent buildings. Light + Building also uses another form of division, known as the key categories, which consist of a single keyword, such as emotion, selection, career, and skills. The various showstopper sub-events feature each of the themes, sub-themes and topics. Light + Building 2018

The 2018 edition of Light + Building occurred in Messe Frankfurt. The event was held between the 18th and 23rd of March, 2018. The edition received 220 000 trade visitants and 2 714 exhibitor firms.

Light + Building 2022

Light + Building 2022 occurred in Messe Frankfurt between the 2nd and 6th of October 2022. The venue did not feature coronavirus safeguards due to the removal of the related domestic restrictions. The event was attended by 1 531 exhibitor firms from 46 countries and 92 838 visitants from 147 nations (55% of the attendees were from abroad).

Light + Building 2024

Light + Building 2024 occurred as a live trade exposition in Messe Frankfurt between the 3rd and 8th of March 2024. The event featured around 2 170 exhibiting firms from 54 nations (76% from abroad) and more than 151 000 visitants from 146 countries (51% from abroad). 95% of the visiting group were pleased with their attendance, and 93% stated they had met their attendance goals during the iteration. 

Light + Building 2026

Messe Frankfurt served as the hosting venue for the live iteration of Light + Building 2026. The event featured 1 927 exhibiting firms from 49 nations and 144 767 visitants from 143 countries.
