Preface
Fakuma is one of the plastic processing industry's leading trade exhibitions. It is the most pivotal business platform for making important purchases and networking. It is also the main presentation stage for the latest innovations and trends. This allows professionals to expand their knowledge and prepare for the upcoming year. Fakuma is a biannual trade show that occurs in October. Messe Friedrichshafen serves as the event’s hosting location. The event receives representatives from the whole plastic processing industry. This includes processing operators and technicians, supervisors, and quality assurance inspectors. It also includes technical support experts. Furthermore, professionals that attend encompass research and development engineers. C-suite executives and directional staff also visit the fair. This includes CEOs, CMOs, and technical directors. Many regulative representatives, institutions of higher education, and R&D institutes attend as well. Fakuma is a trade show which receives a large and diverse participant group. For instance, one iteration of the fair featured over 49 500 participants. A total of 126 countries attended the edition. Among them were Italy, China, the USA, and Mexico.

Fakuma 2021
The 2021 iteration marked the triumphant resumption of the plastics processing industry. The edition took place as a live event at Messe Friedrichshafen between the 12th and 16th of October, 2021. The event included strict coronavirus safeguards. Among them were attendees needing to show valid 3G certificates. The event featured a total of 1 470 exhibitor firms. 40% of them were from abroad, including countries such as Switzerland.
Fakuma 2023
The 2023 iteration of Fakuma improved upon the success of the 2021 format. It occurred in Messe Friedrichshafen between the 17th and 21st of October 2023. The iteration received 1 636 exhibitants with 44% travelling from abroad.
Fakuma 2024
Fiera Fakuma 2024 occurred as a live trade expo between the 15th and 19th of October 2024 in Messe Friedrichshafen. It featured 1 639 exhibiting firms from 41 nations, 47.5% from abroad. They were overviewed by 36 675 visitants.

Dear Mark, Sorry to reply this late! I have just got back to Taiwan after this long business trip – the K was very successful and thank you for asking. I would love to take a while to give you mine, and my Teammates’ feedback about the accommodation. Overall impression: Very good value for money! Pros: 1. Great location – it took 2 minutes to walk to the metro station and then 20 more minutes on the train to get to the fair. 2. Lots of restaurants and shops around – very convenient! 3. Rooms were big and clean, and we had plenty of space for our suitcases. 4. Comfortable beds, central heating and big bathrooms. 5. We will definitely consider it for the next K! it fulfilled most of our requirements! Having said all that I know you would like to know about the cons. I do not try to attack you, as you don’t run the hotel, but for your reference and future customers you should be aware of the down side of the hotel; 1. There was no internet connection in the rooms – I think it was the biggest problem for us, as we had to receive emails and work in the lobby – the only place with the internet connection. You must know that the lobby was in a different building across the street! So this was not what I had in mind when ordering the rooms – Wi-Fi connection in the room is the most important thing when searching hotels for myself and my Team. The lobby was also a bar and a restaurant at the same time so it was inconvenient for us and other patrons to work there. The staff of the hotel did nothing upon my request to fix the connection in at least some of our rooms. 2. Great location – unfortunately it comes with a price – the area was busy and loud every night and for the whole night, the windows didn’t block all of the noise of breaking glass and drunken singing. As I said at the beginning it was good value for money, and we would still chose this one! Knowing it was loud and there was no internet would not stop us from ordering it, but it would give us heads up and chance to mentally prepare. I hope my feedback was helpful and you will communicate with the hotel the need for Wi-Fi.

Regarding the hotel, it was ok, some rooms were very small like mine but it was clean. Some other colleagues were happy because they had big rooms with a nice view. The staff was friendly and very useful.

I’ve appreciated your service and in particular your flexibility. We usually don’t know which staff will be attending our exhibitions until very near the time, and your flexibility with this is important to us and much appreciated.
The rate for the hotel was reasonable. It was near the upper end of our budget, but good value I think, considering the following feedback from staff:
“Hotel was fine, rooms were good and had no problems. Only potential issue was the limited parking, but this didn’t affect me last week.”
“Would definitely stay there again. Staff were really pleasant and helpful, food was good and the location was pretty good too.”
“I would stop there again no problem good rooms good food and good location for city centre.”
