About the event
METSTRADE 2021 will take place at Amsterdam RAI between the 16th and 18th of November. Registration will open in August and the event will be in an in-person format. METSTRADE is the leisure maritime industry's leading fair. It is where the sector learns about the latest trends. Founded in 1988, the fair is the largest trade exhibition for marine equipment. The event caters to 3 specialist sectors — Superyachts, Marina & Yards, and Construction. The fair takes place at the Amsterdam RAI and is among the capital of the Netherlands' leading events.

The Breakfast Briefing acts as the inauguration of the fair. During the briefing, a leading figure of choice holds a keynote speech. They also open the DAME Design Award ceremony. During the ceremony, a specialist jury selects nominees in 8 categories. The jury makes the selections based on how important the design is for the products. They also consider the expected impact of entries on the industry. Other considered factors are the suitability of the design and the innovation level. Cost, ease of use and environmental impact also receive notice. Up to 8 nominees can receive the Award — 1 general winner and 7 category ones. Products that are exceptional yet did not earn the award, receive a Special Mention.
The Boat Builder Awards for Business Achievement are similar in intent. They reward important contributions to the boat building sector. Individuals, teams, or supply chain partners within shipbuilding companies can receive the Award. There are 6 categories: personal achievement, design, and innovation. The other 3 categories are collaborative working, environmental responsibility, and marketing.
Attendees should also consider visiting the Construction Material Pavilion. It is the location for examining new materials and boat/yacht construction techniques. The Pavilion will address subjects such as the end-of-life of FRP materials. Another subject of discussion will be the latest technical, environmental and regulatory issues. Within the area will be the Construction in Process Stage. The Stage is an interactive platform where exhibitors can perform a short demonstration. The demonstration will be on the demonstrator's production process. This will show the newest solutions in the exhibitor's expertise field. Another event included in the METSTRADE's programme is the HISWA Marina Symposium. The Symposium is part of the Marina & Yard Pavilion. Its subjects of focus will include the new developments for marinas. Themes will feature sustainability, future water tourism challenges and attracting new boaters.
THE GMI Certified Members Global Meeting is similar in intent to the Symposium. The meeting allows GMI Certified members to discuss trending topics related to marinas. It also allows them to examine the latest developments and network with others.
Two more main events form the foundation of the METSTRADE. These include the NMEA electronics seminars and the METSTRADE Young Professionals Club. The NMEAS seminars include sessions on new technologies and electronics. The seminar programme of the seminars focuses on the newest topics.

It's a budget hotel do not expect much, they provide clean room but small room size. The hotel not far from Messe Duesseldorf by car but if you want to take public transport between the hotel and Messe Duesseldorf it's not convenient. But if you prepare to take taxi so it's not far from the place about 15 minutes

Thank you for email. Everything went well during our stay. The hotel allowed early check-in. Room is new and clean, but is too small, and the hotel is located in good location as it is convenient to public transportation and walking distance to the old town. Only few points, it's a bit noisy surrounding(from the road), especially at night. The room does not seal and not well sound protected. With the room rate it would be good if the hotel served BF. Thank you.
