Preface
Breakbulk Europe (formerly Breakbulk Europe Antwerp) is the most extensive breakbulk and project cargo trade exhibition. It presents the latest information related to the industry. This includes future-focused solutions, insights, trends, and vital data. It has been hosted since 2006 at different venues, with the current selection being the Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands. The event attracts over 11 000 participants, including more than 9 700 visitors. Such attendants represent 120 nations. Such include the United Kingdom, Argentina, the Commonwealth of Australia, Canada, India, and South Africa. These are represented by specialists such as cargo carriers, terminal managers, and port owners. They also include freight forwarders, heavy equipment transportation enterprises and packing service providers.
About Breakbulk Europe
The trade exposition features a diversified and extensive event schedule. This includes the comprehensive trade exhibition. It showcases the latest freight forwarding, road/air/rail/maritime transport, waterways, ports, terminals, IT, and cargo ownership wares. Also, must-attend sub-events are the Main Stage, the Global Shipper Lounge, the Innovation Stage, and the Discovery Zone.

Breakbulk Europe 2025 in Rotterdam was held between the 13th and 15th of May 2025. It was held in Ahoy Rotterdam. It featured 670 exhibiting firms from 58 nations, around 50 sponsoring enterprises, over 11 000 visitants from 126 countries, and 80 lecturers.
Breakbulk Europe 2024
Breakbulk Europe Rotterdam 2024, held between the 21st and 23rd of May 2024, occurred in Ahoy Rotterdam. It was attended by more than 600 exhibiting firms from 60 nations and over 11 000 visitants from more than 126 countries.
Breakbulk Europe 2023
The 2023 iteration, held between the 6th and 8th of June 2023, improved upon the success of the 2022 format. It was attended by 10 445 visitants from 126 nations, thus signifying a 15% increase in the attendance rate compared to the previous rendition. They examined the wares of 534 exhibiting firms.
Breakbulk Europe 2022
Breakbulk Europe 2022 took place as a live event between the 17th and the 19th of May, 2022. The edition was held at Ahoy Rotterdam. The venue did not feature coronavirus safeguards. This was because the Netherlands removed its domestic restrictions in February 2022. More than 15 000 visitants and 855 exhibitor firms representing 141 nations attended the event.
Breakbulk Europe 2019
The 2019 iteration of the event, held between 29.05.2019 and 31.05.2019, attracted over 9 500 industry specialists. This marked a 26% increase in attendance rate compared to the 2018 edition. The event was held in Bremen, Germany. Over 120 nations attended Breakbulk Europe 2019. One signifier that the iteration was successful was the high exhibitor rebooking rate. 90% of the group reconfirmed its attendance for the 2020 iteration.

We were very satisfied with the STAYERY Frankfurt Sachsenhausen. The rooms were great and the location worked very well for us. It took us around 20 minutes by car to reach CPHI in the morning, which was perfect.
The only very small downside is that our rooms were not all located close to each other – only 2 out of 4 colleagues had rooms next to each other. This is not a major issue at all, more of a small detail, but I am mentioning it as feedback.
I will try to complete the questionnaire later today.
Regarding your question about preliminary rates for next year, as far as we know, the 2026 edition of CPHI will be held in Milan, not in Frankfurt – which is why I am not sure I fully understand the proposal to review hotel rates for the same hotel next year. Could you clarify this point?

Many thanks to Mr Tom Parker from GoFair throughout the whole process of searching for a suitable hotel. The hotel is located perfectly good- just 10 minutes walking up to the Messe, or several minutes by train. The interior layouts are also very good. The rooms are spacious, comfortable bed, shower room etc...A good room service. The only minus there is extremely poor breakfast that really should be improved.
