OPTATEC 2026 will be held as a face-to-face trade fair between the dates of 5th to 7th of May 2026. The hosting location of the event will remain Messe Cologne.

Optical technologies are where modern manufacturing and industry heads, and OPTATEC is the place to see the cutting-edge advancements in components and systems showcased. Frankfurt, Germany assumes the role as a host for the edition. The numbers are in – over 500 exhibitors and 5000 trade visitors are anticipated to make the trip. OPTATEC gives visitors a full overview of product groups: optomechanics, optoelectronics, fibre-optics, fibre-optic cables, apparatus engineering, automotive engineering, electrotechnics, display technology, electronics, and information processing systems are only some of what you can expect to see in the exhibition halls. In addition, you have access to senior representatives from all manner of industries – the aerospace, the chemical and the metal-working industry.

Past Iterations
OPTATEC 2022
The 2022 iteration of OPTATEC occurred between the 18th and 20th of October 2022 in Messe Cologne as a live trade exhibition. The host site did not feature coronavirus safeguards because of the removal of the country's pandemic restrictions. The iteration was attended by 255 exhibiting companies from 30 nations and 3 481 visitants from 37 countries. It featured an event space of approximately 4 500 m2.
OPTATEC 2024
The 2024 iteration of the event was a live trade exposition between the 14th and 16th of May 2024 in Messe Cologne. The event was attended by more than 420 exhibiting firms.

Regarding the hotel, it was ok, some rooms were very small like mine but it was clean. Some other colleagues were happy because they had big rooms with a nice view. The staff was friendly and very useful.
