Film Festival Cannes – A Brief Introduction
The Film Festival Cannes needs no introduction. It’s one of the most talked-about film festivals in the world, whose influence has been far-reaching in shaping the careers of directors and actors, as well as push certain movies at the forefront of cultural discussion. The festival, also referred to as the Film Festival Cannes and Festival de Cannes in its native French, takes place once a year in May in the city of Cannes. The location is as always the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. The event runs for almost two weeks, so no official visitor count is available, but there are more than 12,000 industry professionals who attend the festival’s business platform Marché du Film.

The 2024 iteration occurred between 14-25.05.2024 in Palais des Festivals et des Congres. The iteration featured 14 000 professional attendants from 140 nations during its Marche du Film segment. They presented 4 000 films and projects during 200 sub-events.

Price / quality ration very good, spacious and clean room. Breakfast simple but more than enough. Nice lobby and friendly staff. Only negative point is the noise at night in the rooms facing the street, very difficult to rest. I was lucky to face the interior areas but my colleagues had trouble sleeping.

We all had a good stay at Motel One in Dusseldorf. Clean, simple rooms but good showers and beds. I stayed one more night which was paid by a cancellation from one of us at the first night. Very reasonable. Am on the way back and we had a succesfull Anuga.
