CIOE will be hosted between 06.09.2023 and 08.09.2023 after a postment caused by Covid-19. The event will take place at the Shenzhen World Exhibition Centre. Attendees can expect coronavirus safety measures, such as social distancing and the 3G entry policy. Attendants should note that they will have to present one negative PCR test 48 hours before departure. They should also note that as part of the travel restrictions, they will have to quarantine for 5 days at a centralised location and for 3 at home.

2020 Edition

CIOE’s editions often include new event highlights. Its 2020 edition for example had 3 new zone highlights. These were the UV Technology Zone, the Intelligent Driving Sector Sensor Display, and the ONA. The UV Technology area showcased new products such as UV sensors and others. The Intelligent Driving Sensor Display was the display location of intelligent driving solutions. The ONA was where leading companies showcased novel optical network solutions and products. 

2021 Edition

The 23rd edition of CIOE marked a grand return of the event and the restart of face-to-face events.  The event took place as an in-person exhibition between 16.09.2021 and 18.09.2021 The display area of the edition 160,000 m2 and received over 3,000 exhibitors. Visitor numbers were also high with the first day receiving 42,438 trade professionals. This showed the importance of face-to-face interactions and the significance of the event, particularly given the ongoing pandemic.
