Preface
Founded in 2003, IMEX is one of the most pivotal global MICA industry events. It occurs annually in Messe Frankfurt. IMEX Frankfurt gathers over 3 400 convention centres, hotels, and incentive agencies. One edition, for example, received 8 828 attendants. It also received 206 media representatives and 68 500 pre-show appointments. Attendees of the fair represent close to 160 countries and six industries. Nations that send trade delegates to the trade show include the UK, China, and Brazil.
About IMEX
IMEX Germany is the main event for meeting and event industry specialists to network. The trade show is a valuable hub for gaining insight into new trends. Another education hub of interest is the Faculty Engagement Programme. Another must-attend sub-event within Messe IMEX’s support schedule is the SITE Nite Europe event. It has a dual intent, as it raises funds and promotes networking. Attendants include members of the Foundation, incentive travel buyers and suppliers. Another networking and socialising event is the Cim-clubbing @IMEX. It allows attendees to connect to other attendants while unwinding. Similar in intent is the Social Hour, where attendees can speak to other visitors while sampling beverages.
There is also the Gala Dinner for connecting with potential partners and suppliers. The event also marks the awarding of the IMEX and Industry Awards. These include the Paul Flackett IMEX Academy Awards. They furthermore feature the IMEX-EIC Innovation in Sustainability Award. The Paul Flackett Award acknowledges attendants with outstanding contributions to the industry. The Sustainability Award rewards organisations with a significant commitment to reducing their impact on nature.

I'm not positive how I stumbled across "Travel to Fairs Limited", but I'm so glad I did. A simple request for traveling advice turned into a fantastic planning experience. My first point of contact (Via telephone) was from Ms. Ellie Stone. From that point forward I worked solely with her. My plans were extremely complex and Ellie was there for me the entire time. Flying from the United States, traveling to four separate cites in three European countries seemed daunting. After a few questions and some conversation, Ellie was able to give me multiple hotel options in each city. Ms. Stone even divided each hotel by their amenities. (Included breakfast/bars/public transport etc.) In addition to her thorough help with hotel accommodations, Ellie also booked three (3) separate flights for me. Germany to Denmark to Poland. For each city/destination, Ellie offered no fewer than 3 options for accommodations. Same for my flight options. Each destination had three choices. Different airlines and different departure times so I could manage my travel easily. The communication between Ellie and myself was excellent. With the time change between us, emails worked perfectly. Ellie was very attentive to my needs and responded to my questions/inquiries quickly. On more than a few occasions, when I called her office, she took the time to answer me right away. I would love to extend my gratitude and genuine "thanks" to Ellie. Dare I say... she made this experience fun. 5 STARS !!! Her company should be grateful to have her working there.

Dear Mark, Sorry to reply this late! I have just got back to Taiwan after this long business trip – the K was very successful and thank you for asking. I would love to take a while to give you mine, and my Teammates’ feedback about the accommodation. Overall impression: Very good value for money! Pros: 1. Great location – it took 2 minutes to walk to the metro station and then 20 more minutes on the train to get to the fair. 2. Lots of restaurants and shops around – very convenient! 3. Rooms were big and clean, and we had plenty of space for our suitcases. 4. Comfortable beds, central heating and big bathrooms. 5. We will definitely consider it for the next K! it fulfilled most of our requirements! Having said all that I know you would like to know about the cons. I do not try to attack you, as you don’t run the hotel, but for your reference and future customers you should be aware of the down side of the hotel; 1. There was no internet connection in the rooms – I think it was the biggest problem for us, as we had to receive emails and work in the lobby – the only place with the internet connection. You must know that the lobby was in a different building across the street! So this was not what I had in mind when ordering the rooms – Wi-Fi connection in the room is the most important thing when searching hotels for myself and my Team. The lobby was also a bar and a restaurant at the same time so it was inconvenient for us and other patrons to work there. The staff of the hotel did nothing upon my request to fix the connection in at least some of our rooms. 2. Great location – unfortunately it comes with a price – the area was busy and loud every night and for the whole night, the windows didn’t block all of the noise of breaking glass and drunken singing. As I said at the beginning it was good value for money, and we would still chose this one! Knowing it was loud and there was no internet would not stop us from ordering it, but it would give us heads up and chance to mentally prepare. I hope my feedback was helpful and you will communicate with the hotel the need for Wi-Fi.
