Rotterdam is one of the primary, time-honoured and leading urban centres in the Dutch yachting industry. This is due to the city serving as the central hub of the South Holland or Zuid Holland cluster. It is capable of producing more than 600 vessels. It includes superyachts that range from 24 to 110 metres. This results in the city and, by extension, the Zuid Holland cluster being among the leading sections of related industry. For example, the segment has recently extended to feature over 390 enterprises. These span crafting shops, suppliers, shipyards and diverse maritime services. Among them are repairs, brokerage, and inspections. This results in more than 1 100 specialists operating within the value chain. It also results in the production of notably high annual turnover rates for the cluster. For example, the Zuid Holland/South Holland region has recently produced more than 4 374 223 000 EUR. The cluster, including Rotterdam, is also one of the Dutch yachting industry’s central and primary innovation hubs. This is due to the innovations allowing it to adapt to the latest challenges. Generally, the sector presents its most recently developed novel solutions during trade expos. These include biannual events in Rotterdam. They attract tens of thousands of attendees from various countries. Examples include Monaco, France, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
